The Closed Bolt SAW is a belt fed, multi caliber self-loading rifle configured in 5.56mm. As the name implies, this rifle fires from the closed bolt position, unlike its parent platform which fires from the open bolt position. The closed bolt operating system result in a rifle with much less mechanical movement when the trigger is pulled, resulting in better accuracy. This rifle uses a standard H&K G3 style trigger with a higher strength 33 lb hammer spring, made specifically for use in belt fed weapons. The closed bolt SAW ships with a quick change 16.1 inch barrel, but can also be used with existing 18 inch barrels. Although this rifle is shipped in a 5.56mm configuration, it is capable of firing 300 BLK, 7.62x51, .260 REM, and 6.5CM with the appropriate conversion kit.
